Noel Sullivan, the actor and singer of the pop band Hear’say from “Popstars” will take his first step onto the West End stage beginning on November 30th.
Sullivan will be taking over the role of Danny Zuko in the Piccadilly Theatre production of Grease which is showing currently with Ray Quinn playing the role of Zuko. Sullivan will continue in his place until the show ends in July of 2010.
Born in Cardiff, Sullivan has a wide list of choral credits behind his name including a soloist career with the Black Mountain Male Chorus of Wales and a 36 tour date sold out arena tour as part of Hear’say. Additionally he also has starred on the stage of the Royal Variety Performance and appeared in the reality show aired on Channel Five called “Trust me, I’m A Holiday Rep.”
Although this is the first time Sullivan will step onto the West End stage, in the past he has performed in productions of Fame, Love Shack, Simply Ballroom, Flashdance: The Musical, and What a Feeling.
Sullivan stated that he is excited to be soon performing on West End with such as strong musical show as Grease. He continued to say that Danny is a dream role and that being included in such a historical musical favourite is like a dream for him.
Emma Stephens will star opposite to him in the role of Sandy with Natalie Langston as Rizzo, Stuart Ramsay as Kenickie, Benjamin Ibbott as Doody, Laura Wilson as Jan, Faye Brooks as Frenchy, and Micael Melmoe as Roger.
