Siobhan Dillon is the word

Siobhan Dillon will be the new face of Sandy at the Piccadilly Theatre production of Grease set to run from January 25th 2010 through to July 2010.

Dillon will be joined by other new cast members as well such as Matthew Goodgame as Kenickie, Lucas Rush as Roger, Michael Vinsen as Eugene, and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as Rizzo.

Returning to the second set of shows will be Noel Sullivan playing Danny, Jason Capewell playing Vince, Faye Brooks as Frenchy, Benjamin Ibbot as Doody, and Bennett Andrews as Sonny.

Dillon was first discovered on the BBC1 Andrew Lloyd Webber show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? during which the famous producer searched for the next West End star.  Dillon made it to the final three and went on to create an album.

Following the album release she received the role of ‘Patty’ in the 2007 production of Grease.  After her initial West End debut, she followed it up with a role in “Can’t Smile without You’ and in Cabaret.

The Piccadilly Theatre production of Grease first opened in August of 2007 after previews in July.  Currently the show is taking bookings up until September 2010.  The production was written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs with direction by David Gilmore.

Grease first opened in 1993 in the West End at the Dominion Theatre before it moved to the Cambridge Theatre in October of 1996 where it remained until September of 1999.
